To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the greatest sailor journey ever—Neil Armstrong’s moon landing—we created a choose your own adventure Google Assistant game where players assume a position at Mission Control and help the Apollo 11 team safely land on the moon. Decisions in the game drive the narrative and even match players with Navy careers that fit their interests. This game had 27% of users playing for over 15min, led to 45% more time spent on Navy.com, and earned the #1 spot in Google’s Actions of the week.
